The spider glazing system is a construction
from the carrier subsystem, glass and fasteners -
spiders and glass fitting. The main feature of spider glazing is the absence of bearing frames between the glass panels. Glass through the holes is fixed with the help of rudders to the spider. Spiders, in turn, are fixed on a supporting structure made of metal, cables or glass.
Which type of glass panels to choose depends on what purpose the spider glazing is for. If insulation of premises is required, then double-glazed windows are used, in other cases - triplex and tempered glass.
Sealing joints between glass panels is carried out by special sealants, which provides a high level of thermal insulation and protection from moisture.
There is a chance of moisture entering through the holes in the glass,
but in the arms of ARP Engineering we use silicone gaskets, in contrast to plastic, they fit tightly to the glass and protect the structure from leaks.
